Service Desk Team Leader

Location: Leicester

Purpose of the Role

You will support the Service Desk Team and co-ordinate our field service engineer's daily schedules. Responsibilities will include being a central point of contact for all customer enquiries, accurately logging call information into  a internal system, monitoring and keeping this system up to date and producing monthly reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Taking calls from Customers and dealing with in a professional manner
  • Planning maintenance and callout activities with engineers in a way that optimises the use of their working time
  • Scheduling / Booking of Maintenance to meet contractual requirements
  • Inputting of service and call out data onto the database
  • Collation and distributions of weekly diary/works for engineers
  • Provide data for statistical analysis of engineers activities
  • Maintain engineers attendance records
  • To provide assistance to the Spares Coordinates and provide cover in these roles if required

Skills Required

  • Experience of running a Service Desk
  • Working accurately, under pressure, to tight deadlines
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to priorities work during peak service demands
  • Excellent knowledge of UK postcodes and areas
  • Computer Literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Package's
  • Engineer background desirable but not essential

Customer Account Co-ordinator

Location: Croydon

Purpose of the Role

To provide professional customer service, being responsible for a portfolio of accounts. Proactively building and improving relationships with customers, promoting orders and managing the process from the moment an order is placed, all the way to delivery into their store. Acting as the first point of contact for any customer contacting the business wanting to talk to us about specific problems, hardware and consumables sales, and service contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • To keep the customers informed, co-ordinating your schedule to provide regular updates to the customer every 2 to 4 weeks
  • Putting orders on the system relying on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Take payments for orders by phone
  • Take personable responsibility for managing any issues as they arise
  • To offer excellent customer service, having a great awareness of our full product line to offer fast advise and reliable information
  • Working towards personal and team goals every day to achieve sales targets
  • Be involved in considering the success of the team through active understanding and consideration of financial targets
  • Keep tidy and accurate records Be helpful, courteous and personable ensuring we meet customer’s expectations, and if we can’t, work with the customer to provide a solution

Dry Cleaning and Laundry Service Engineer

Purpose of the Role

You will be responsible for on site service, repairs and maintenance visits at our client’s dry cleaning and laundry processing sites. As an ambassador for Alex Reid you will need to build excellent relationships with the relevant customers whilst effecting efficient repairs to limit our clients down time to an absolute minimum. You must be willing to go the extra mile to provide excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs to state of the art dry cleaning and laundry equipment
  • Carry out routine maintenance visits working in an efficient and thorough manner to limit the number of service calls received between maintenance visits to an absolute minimum.
  • Liaise with service desk via phone and email to receive jobs and report on progress through to job completion
  • Complete service paperwork and obtain authorization signatures from store managers for all work completed.
  • Return paperwork on a weekly basis to enable prompt invoicing and replenishment of van stock.
  • Manage your parts stock carried on vans.
  • Maintain a first fix rate in excess of 90% Have a flexible approach to working hours
  • Be your customer’s best friend, but remember who you work for.
  • Be professional and consistent at all times, working hard to earn and retain the respect and trust of the customers.
Your skills should include
  • Electrical bias with minimum of City and Guilds qualifications with good mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with working on high value equipment in customers premises
  • An understanding of steam utilization and refrigeration would be distinct
